About the Cherokee Trail RunCome explore the amazing trail system at Martin's Access County Park, located in Cherokee County Iowa! The park trails offer gorgeous views with rolling terrain along the Little Sioux river. The trails provide an exceptional experience for everyone, no matter your skill level. The Run will include a 10k run, a 5k run/walk and also a kid's run.
When: Saturday, September 18, 2021 starting at 9:00am How far will I be running/walking: There will be two races for adults: a 10k run (6.2 miles) and a 5k run (3.1 miles). There will also be a kid's run (approx 400 meters and takes place immediately before the 10k/5k start). Where: Martin's Access, Cherokee County Park. See below for location and directions. It's for a Great Cause: All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Cherokee Trail Committee for the benefit of our expanding trail system! |

Please note: google maps do not show the South Entrance to Martins Access, which is well marked from the road. Old Fashion Directions: If you are approaching from HWY 59, turn east onto C-16 (aka 450th St.) which is just north of Larrabee. Then travel 4.4 miles until you reach the Martin Access Road, where you will turn South (right). The entrance will be on your right after 1 mile and will be marked as the "South Entrance". You will see a number of small cabins near the entrance. |
