Everything you Need to Know for Race Day


Getting to the
Trail Run:​

​The race will take place at  Martin's Access, which is about 13 miles NE of Cherokee, off of C-16.
The start/finish are located at the South Entrance of Martin's Access. For a map/directions to the South Entrance: Click Here

For those of you traveling from Cherokee, take HWY 59 north, once you pass through Larabee, turn east onto C-16. Travel 4.4 miles east, then turn south onto Martin's Access Road. There are two entrances to the park off of Martin's Access Road, a North entrance and a South entrance. You want the South Entrance, which is well marked.

Lodging:​​

For those of you traveling a distance or looking to make a weekend out of this adventure, there are several great options:   

Hotels:  Cherokee Inn and Best Western La Grande Hacienda
Camping: There are many camping options at Martins Access. For information on camping see the Cherokee County Parks website, or Click Here
Cabins: Please contact us if you are interested in renting a cabin on the course site. 

​Race Start:
The races will start at 9:00am on Saturday, September 18, 2021. The kid's race will start first, with the 5k and 10k races starting shortly thereafter.

​Race Check-In:
Race check-in will be at the new shelter, located at the South Entrance to Martin's Access. Check-in will be available from 8:00am to 8:40am.
Awards: 
Unique prizes will be presented to the men's and women's top 3 finishers for each race. Each runner will also receive complimentary "bragging rights" for finishing a challenging course. ​
